Hi, I’m Bob LaGarde, founder of Ahhhaweb and it’s affiliated companies, Ahhha Law and Ahhha CPA. I live in Durham, NC with my dog Charlie.
My business expertise includes e-commerce, payments, software development, product management, branding, social media, team building, organizational transformation, business structure and financing. I have worked in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors domestically and internationally. I have led or co-led four start-ups – including small and mid-market e-commerce technology, social network based not-for-profit fundraising, video social networking and law firm business development technology. I helped to found two technology associations, the Lawrence, Kansas Technology Association, and the Information Technology Association of Kansas. I served as a board member in technology transfer with the University of Kansas Information Technology and Telecommunications Center and co-chaired the Information Technology Task Force for Kansas Senator Pat Roberts’ Science, Technology and the Future Committee. Recently I served as a judge for the Duke Startup Challenge. Prior to starting my technology career in 1996, I led a not-for-profit animal welfare organization. I have a BA degree from Furman University where I studied philosophy and political science. I’ve recently been auditing classes and attending open lab meetings at Duke University.
